Maurice Arowana

More: Maurice's appearance is partly due to an under the table collaborative project between genetic researchers and a cosmetic company that ran a side project in "beautifying" their customer's pets (such things are partly real today, I was surprised to recently learn that there are some companies that even give dogs hair extensions O.o). The project was considered a huge failure, for many reasons. However later on as the fluffy effects of the experiment became more obvious, it won his owner Ian Arowana the attention he needed. Ian jumped at the oppurtunity in the spotlight, and with the help of a couple idealistic friends in higher places, he eventually became a major political leader in Eon. Eventually, he became the mayor, or more like dictator, and was on his way to bringing Eon to it's golden age.

When the City reached its peak, the companies that Ian had destroyed in his younger days began to silently slip back into play. In the futuristic city, ignorant of the outside, uncontrolled, and struggling remains of the world, people were growing bored, and that's when these said corporations revisited their old "failure" with Maurice.

They turned the place into a neon city, full of dazzling lights, raving parties, and people who looked like singers dressed up for some horrible phsycadelic 80's video. They captured the people with extravagant shows, and likewise, their pets were equaly though less willingly caught up in the "sparkle mania". ;D Maurice then looked dull in comparison, and had his fur dyed green to try and blend in - just a little.
